Pre-GED and GED Programs

All programs are collaborations between the School of Education, the BUENO Center for Multicultural Education and Organizational and Employee Development.  Programs are offered in English-only and held in the Administrative and Research Center (ARC), 3100 Marine Street – Conference Room 346.

Pre-General Education Diploma (Pre-GED) Program

The Pre-GED program is offered to employees who have a 6th to 8th grade education.  This provides an opportunity to prepare for the next level, equivalent of a high school diploma (GED).  The program includes mastery of concepts in five content areas: mathematics, science, language arts – reading, language arts – writing, and social studies.

General Education Diploma (GED) Program

Launched in 2008, the GED program allows to employees who have achieved a 9th grade educational level obtain their General Education Diploma on-site at the University of Colorado Boulder.  Since the program’s inception, twenty Boulder campus employees have graduated.
