Human Resources Trainings

 

Human Resources offers some training opportunities to fit a wide range of needs and make CU the best employment experience possible. 

 

Pre-GED and GED Programs

 

Human Resources and the BUENO Center launched the GED program in 2008, helping employees who have achieved a 9th grade educational level obtain their GED. Since the program launched in 2008, twenty CU-Boulder employees have graduated. Building on the success of the GED program the Pre-GED program launched in the spring of 2012, for employees who have achieved a 6th grade to 8th grade education level. Skillsoft Trainings and Books 24/7

 

A collection of trainings and e-books on topics ranging from customer service, computer programming languages, leadership development, and more are available through the myCUinfo portal. Resources, catalogs, and learning guides can be found on the Employee Learning and Development website

 

CU Tuition Benefit

 

Beginning summer 2012, the tuition benefit, providing up to nine credit hours of tuition per year to eligible employees of the university, may now be transferred to their eligible dependents. English as a Second Language

 

The International English Center provides five English as a Second Language (ESL) programs to non-native English speakers.

 

Career Services

 

Career Services at the University of Colorado Boulder offers alumni individual career counseling and workshops to aid in career transitions and provide insight into networking. For a list of current workshops, visit the Career Services webpage.

 

Continuing Education

 

Continuing Education offers a Career Exploration Workshop which integrates various methods for self-assessment and tracking career passions. This hands-on class can help our employees find a career direction to enhance job satisfaction. After the class, participants will have access to the Continuing Education career advisor. Denver Personnel & Administration Professional Development Center
