Training

Human Resources offers a wide range of training opportunities. Whether you're looking for trainings that are required, developmental, based on rules and policies, or life-enriching, HR can provide you with a multitude of training solutions.

While this page will allow you to select the training option suited to your situation, please note that trainings are offered by different departments within Human Resources. After selecting an option, please refer to specific department's guidance on how to register (if required) for each opportunity.

Employment Services

Employment Services Training
Employment Services provides information based training designed to assist campus employees, supervisors, managers and appointing authorities understand and apply the concepts, rules, procedures and policies related to employment services for classified and exempt professional staff. Sessions are offered in a variety of areas including recruitment and assessment, position management, compensation, FLSA, personal services contracts, background check policy, interviewing, and more. Training opportunities are published as they become available.

Required Training For Supervisors

Discrimination and Harassment
In order to create a positive learning, working and living environment, we must provide an atmosphere free of discrimination and harassment based upon race, color, national origin, gender, age, creed, religion, sexual orientation, disability, and veteran status. University of Colorado at Boulder (UCB) staff and student employees must attend a discrimination and harassment workshop within their first 30 days of hire. All UCB faculty members must attend a discrimination and harassment workshop within their first semester of hire. After this initial workshop, all employees are required to attend a discrimination and harassment workshop at least once every five years.
